Scope<\/p>\n<p>1.1<\/p>\n<p>This Standard applies to unitary single-package or split- system liquid-source heat pumps for commercial, institutional and industrial buildings over 1400 m? (15,000 ft?), using ground-water, surface water or earth as a heat source and\/or sink for heating and\/or cooling with or without a supplementary heat ing or cooling system.<\/p>\n<p>1.2<\/p>\n<p>This Standard also applies to mechanical vapour compression systems charged with one of the refrigerants listed in Group A1 of CSA Standard B52, Mechanical Refrigeration Code.<\/p>\n<p>1.3<\/p>\n<p>This Standard applies to new and retrofit installations, or additions to existing installations.<\/p>\n<p>1.4<\/p>\n<p>This Standard covers minimum requirements for equipment and material selection, site survey, system design, installation, testing and verification, documentation, commissioning and decommissioning.<\/p>\n<p>1.5<\/p>\n<p>The values given in SI (metric) units are the standard.
