It covers Vickers hardness tests in accordance with ISO DIS 6507-1, normally with test loads of 0,98 N to less than 49 N (HV 0,1 to less than HV 5).<\/p>\n<p>Testing should be carried out to ensure that the highest and\/or the lowest level of hardness of both parent metal (in the case of dissimilar parent metals) and weld metal are determined.<\/p>\n<p>The type and extent of testing shall be as specified by an application standard or by agreement between the contracting parties.<\/p>\n<p>This standard does not cover the hardness test as described in EN 1043-1.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Destructive tests on welds in metallic materials.
