Description

The series of standards VDI 2552 provides a structured approach for the effective implementation of BIM in the processes of design, construction and operation. It describes the already internationally proven rules of technology, experiences and developments in the application of BIM. In this standard, reference is made to more detailed regulations in the other parts of the series of standards VDI 2552, some of which are still under development. This standard takes into account national and international standards and specifications as well as best practice experience and, in particular, establishes a reference to the creation and use of building information during the planning and construction of a building or plant. The standard is primarily addressed to building owners, parties involved in planning, construction, operation and maintenance.
