This is the fourth edition of CSA Z245.6, Coiled aluminum line pipe and accessories.<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

It supersedes the previous editions published in 2002, 1998, and 1992.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This edition differs from the previous edition mainly as follows:<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

(a) the quality program requirements have been modified; and<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

(b) the high-energy joining process for pipe using sleeves has been modified.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This Standard covers the requirements for coiled aluminum line pipe and accessories intended to be used for transporting fluids in accordance with CAN\/CSA-Z662.<\/p>\n

Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

1.1 General<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This Standard specifies requirements for coiled aluminum line pipe and accessories primarily intended for use in oil and gas pipeline systems.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

1.2 Pipe diameter and wall thickness<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This Standard specifies requirements for pipe with the outside diameters and wall thicknesses specified in Table 1.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

1.3 Terminology<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In CSA Standards, shall is used to express a requirement, i.e., a provision that the user is obliged to satisfy in order to comply with the standard; should is used to express a recommendation or that which is advised but not required; may is used to express an option or that which is permissible within the limits of the standard; and can is used to express possibility or capability.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n
