This standard describes the design, construction, inspection, and testing of composite elevated tanks that utilize a welded steel tank for watertight containment and a single pedestal concrete support structure. Requirements for the steel tank, concrete support structure, foundation, and accessories are included. Site selection and procurement, tank sizing, post-commissioning inspection and maintenance, and the design, operation, and control of the water distribution system that connects to the composite elevated tank are beyond the scope of this standard.<\/p>\n
