The method has been validated with naturally contaminated and spiked samples of wheat, tomato puree and sunflower seeds. The validation levels for altenuene (ALT) ranged from 2,18 \u00b5g\/kg to 13,8 \u00b5g\/kg, for alternariol (AOH) from 1,82 \u00b5g\/kg to 46,7 \u00b5g\/kg, for alternariol monomethyl ether (AME) from 1,29 \u00b5g\/kg to 47,2 \u00b5g\/kg, for tentoxin (TEN) from 5,29 \u00b5g\/kg to 218 \u00b5g\/kg and for tenuazonic acid (TEA) from 41,8 \u00b5g\/kg to 1618 \u00b5g\/kg.
