Description

The guideline aims at presenting a logical classification of CVD diamond tools, their production and characterisation as well as their areas of application. To present the wide variety and main applications of CVD diamond tools and to set reasonable limits to the range of applications, only the manufacturing processes most frequently used in production will be covered. The guideline serves to improve communications between the manufacturers and users of CVD diamond tools and defines the quality characteristics of the tools. In the application-specific part a recommendation for the use of CVD diamond tools based on the processing task is given.
