Description

General method for preparing the esters using boron trifluoride; alternatives for special cases using sodium methylate solution or methanolic potassium hydroxide solution. The prepared methyl esters can be used for gas liquid chromatography, thin layer chromatography, infra-red spectrophotometry, etc.
